About Sarah Cross

My love for photography really began as early as Jr. High when I received my first camera as a gift. I was always photographing family reunions, school events, and my friends. Later, I took photography classes in school and built darkrooms in the bathrooms and basement. It was in 1999 when a relative came to me and asked if I would photograph his wedding. Reluctantly, I agreed. I loved it. I then began shooting senior portraits, engagements, and weddings. Some clients have started as portrait clients and have come back to ask me to cover their wedding.

I understand the stress, the worry and all the excitement involved in planning a wedding, having planned my own in 2005. Every detail counts. Everything needs to be in its place. The photographer should be an important detail also. For me, it was one of the most important parts, second to my husband-to-be… oh and the dress, of course!

Every vacation I take, every family event I attend, I record a story. Every detail is recorded. I love to open an album and go back through that event, that vacation, that day, and remember how I felt, what I experienced, and to see all the little details I may have forgotten about since that time.

In the case of a wedding, it goes by so fast; it will be like a flash in your memory. If only 8 hours at the office could go by as quickly!! You will want to be sure that every detail is covered, the emotions, the colors, the celebration, so later you can go back and remember those little pieces of the day and smile.

I would truly be honored and privileged to be your photographer.
